26,000 MILE CRUISE
BRITISH SUBMARINE'S RECORD. GOOD BAG OF ENEMY SHIPPING. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) RUGBY, January 5. The British submarine Trident arrived at a northern harbour recently after the completion of a 26,000-mile operation cruise, which in twelve months took her from the North Cape to the Malacca Straits. Since the outbreak of war, the Trident, v/hich apart from refits has been in operational service continually, has s'fink or severely damaged about 60,000 tons of shipping and damaged the German cruiser Prinz Eugen in February, 1942.
