GOOD NEWS
OF MR CHURCHILL’S HEALTH TEMPERATURE NOW NORMAL. AND SIGNS OF PNEUMONIA DISAPPEARING. LONDON, December 19. l\lr Churchill’s temperature has returned to normal and signs’oE pneumonia are disappearing. This good news of Mr Churchill’s health was given in today’s bulletin. An earlier message from London quoted the Press Association's medical adviser as saying that Saturday’s bulletin indicated that the crisis in Mr Churchill’s pneumonia had passed and that the condition was clearing up.
The irregularity of his pulse, however, seems to indicate, the medical adviser added, that the illness has thrown some strain on the heart. On the whole Mr Churchill must still be regarded as seriously ill. ' Mr Churchill’s progress is such that he was able to see a few official'documents, says the “Daily Telegraph’s” political correspondent. Private news' reaching Downing Street showed that he was in good spirits. His doctors are rationing the number of papers he can see and taking care he does not exert himself.
Mrs Churchill is now with the Prime Minister after a journey by air.
