MISS PAM BARTON
KILLED IN AIR ACCIDENT IN BRITAIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 14. The golfer, Pam Barton, who was a flight officer in the W.A.A.F., was killed yesterday when a plane crash-land-ed. The pilot was seriously injured. Miss Pam Barton was a member of the L.G.U. team that toured Canada, the United States, New Zealand, and Australia in 1934-35. She won the British Ladies’ Open Championship in 1936 and 1939, and was runner-up in 1934 and 1935. She played for England in “internationals” from 1934 onward. She was French Ladies’ Open Champion in 1934 and won the American Ladies’ Open in 1936.
