CAPTURED BY YUGOSLAV PARTISANS WHOLE ITALIAN DIVISION SURRENDERS. OTHER UNITS ACTING AGAINST GERMANS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) RUGBY, September 16. A communique issued by the Yugoslav partisan army announces the capture of the town and port of Split, the main Dalmatian seaport on the Adriatic coast, and also of the town of Sinj, north of Split. The communique adds that the Italian Bergamo Division has surrendered to the Yugoslavs, with all its equipment. Several Italian units in Dalmatia are being used to strengthen the antiFascist and anti-German forces. They will be known as the Garabaldi Brigade. Yugoslav partisans have also occupied the whole spction of railway from Zagreb to the Adriatic, starting at the inland station of Ouglin-Susak.
