WOMEN’S DIVISION MEETING OF SEWING GUILD. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Sewing Guild of the Ihuraua branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held at ‘Hoebridge” when Mrs Dagg presided over a fair attendance. Ten parcels were packed for despatch overseas. Trophies given by Mrs Larmor and Miss Brunton were won by Mrs Anderson and Josephine Judd respectiveDonations were received from Mesdames Dunn, Meredith and VV. Brunton. Letters expressing appreciation for parcels received were read from several soldiers. The bring-and-buy stall was in charge of Mrs Larmer and Miss Brunton, and the competitions were controlled by Mrs Pickering. The days takings amounted to £2 9s. Josephine Judd handed in 2s Bd, the result of a penny competition conducted by herself. The president thanked those ladies who had handed in five knitted pullovers, making special mention of Mis Newson, who had knitted three. It was hoped that at the next meeting something would be done for some ol the prisoners of war. . It was decided to buy more material, wool and goods for parcels. _ There will be no meeting in Decemb<Afternoon tea was served and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the hostess, Mrs J.
