ST. MATTHEW’S SCHOOL
OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the St. Matthew’s Old Girls’ Association was held on Wednesday night, there being a fair attendance. The retiring president, Miss Mary James, who will commence training as a nurse at Palmerston North next week, was presented with a cigarette case by the committee. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Miss Gwen Baird; vice-president. Miss Patricia Gill; secretary. Miss Juliet James; treasurer. Miss Joyce Mulvaney; committee. Misses Marion Holdsworth, Nora Robinson, Nancy Burling, Helen Wagg, Rhoda Burling. The annual report and the balance sheet were adopted. Mrs Cleghorn entertained those present at supper. The annual report conveys thanks to Mesdames Cleghorn. Maunsell. Crisp. Gill. Robinson. McLaren and W. James, Miss V. McKenzie, Messrs E. Payton, Murray. H. M. Beddington, Lt. Crisp, the parents and Old Girls for assistance given in connection with the Association’s activities during the year.
