AGAINST ENEMY AT EL ADEM & SIDI REZEGH AERODROMES IN CRETE BOMBED. FIRES & EXPLOSIONS STARTED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 10.45 a.m.) RUGBY, June 18. A R.A.F. Middle East communique reports continuous operations against enemy forces at El Adem and Sidi Rezegh yesterday. Enemy aircraft were very active in the forward area. . The landing-ground at Tmimi and aerodromes in Crete were raided by our bombers on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, causing fires and explosions among dispersed aircraft. Four of our aircraft are missing, but two oi tne pilots are safe. ROMMEL REINFORCED NEW AIR FLEET AND PANZER DIVISIONS. ALLIES MA.Y FALL BACK ON SOLLUM. LONDON, June 17. The developments of the next few days are likely to depend on who has the best-reinforced frontline troops. Rommel appears to have large reserves, and is reported to be bringing up infantry and artillery .with the aim of breaching the line. Italians and Ger' mans are reported to be massing at El Adem. The “Daily Mail” says that Rommel is reported to have been reinforced by a new air fleet and two fresh panzer divisions. ‘ The military writer of the Daily Telegraph” says: “Enemy mobile units are trying to manoeuvre round our east flank to sever communications with Egypt and envelop Tobruk. It is possible that before long we shall be back in Solium, the position from which we started out last November in such high hopes.”
