NO RUBBER FOR SPORT
POSITION CALLED ACUTE IN AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) SYDNEY, June 17. Because of restrictions on the use of rubber, football, tennis, golf, and cycling are threatened with extinction for the duration of the war. The position is acute and executives of sporting clubs are to make representations to the Federal Government. It is urged that it is necessary to maintain morale by way of sport, and also that it plays a. big part in national fitness.
