VULNERABLE AREA
POSITION OF MASTERTON INTIMATION TO HOSPITAL < BOARD. INQUIRY AS TO OBLIGATIONS. An official statement to the effect that Masterton was regarded as being a vulnerable area was read at today’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board. The board was requested to take steps to meet any situation arising out of an enemy attack. It was agreed that the matter should be taken up with the Health Department, with a view to ascertaining exactly what the board’s obligations were. Moving a motion to that effect, Mr J. F. Thompson said they could no longer say it would not happen here.
