CARE OF WOUNDED

BRITISH-ITALIAN INCIDENT. LONDON. January 7. Reuter’s correspondent with the South Africans near Halfaya Pass says: "An Italian medical officer under a white flag brought out five wounded members of a British bomber, which crashed within the enemy defences at Halfaya to enable the wounded to receive attention from South Africans besieging the position. The Italian medical officer explained that the Italians at Halfaya had no medical supplies, and therefore brought the wounded men to their friends. The Italian officer was sent back under safe conduct with a large supply of surgical dressings for the Italian wounded.
