WELLINGTON RACES NOMINATIONS FOR CHIEF EVENTS (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Wellington Racing Club has received large nominations for its summer meeting, to be held on January 22 and 24. They aggregate 7G7 for the two days, compared with 677 for three days at last year’s summer meeting, and 777 for the three-day Centennial Cup meeting in 1940. There are 24 in the Wellington Cup, and the entry of 80 for the Douro Handicap is the largest the Wellington club has ever received for any individual race.
