BATH BUNS
A RELIABLE RECIPE. The following recipe for bath buns is worth trying:—Two cups of sifted flour, jib butter! 2 teaspoons baking powder, i teaspoon salt, small cup of sugar, 4oz sultanas, cinnamon, grated rind of one lemon, some sliced candied peel, 3 eggs. Beat the butter and sugar to a cream, add eggs, beat a few minutes longer, then add the other ingredients previously mixed. Make into a moderate paste with milk. Brush top with milk and bake from 12 to 15 minutes in a hot oven. The buns should be placed on a cold, greased oven shelf.
