AIR WARFARE
BREST AGAIN ATTACKED ONE R.A.F. PLANE LOST. FOUR PERSONS KILLED IN BRITAIN. LONDON, January 4. Our bombers last night again attacked objectives in Brest and mines were laid in enemy waters. One of our planes is missing. In this country an enemy aircraft dropped bombs on an east coast town. One house was wrecked and four persons were killed. Until the attack reported above, a British Official Wireless message states, the United Kingdom had been free of enemy aircraft for the fifth night in succession. Indeed no enemy planes had been reported as crossing the coast since the New Year began.
