A DOUBLE PROGRAMME. “The Cowboy and the Blonde,” which will be shown tonight, is an unusual kind of comedy. It tells of a glamorous film star whose temperament holds up production, and of a cowboy the film company has employed as an actor, but who proves to be a bad actor though he is a good cowboy. Noticing that while the cowboy is about the blonde is remarkably placid, the studio executives keep him on the payroll for his miraculous

power over her. The film has interesting sidelights, showing the actual shooting of films, the humour is spontaneous and amusing, while the cast, headed by Mary Beth Hughes and George Montgomery, all do a good job of work. It is a most entertaining story and abounds with dramatic scenes which should delight picture patrons. The supporting feature, “Ride, Kelly, Ride,” has everything to hold the intense interest of picture patrons and abounds with scenes which should appeal to the audience.- The leading roles are taken by Eugene Pallette and Marvis Stevens, and this is sufficient proof that the picture is one that should prove popular. It is an exciting story of the turf.
