WOMEN’S CLUB FORMED IN WELLINGTON. RECREATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A big meeting of women members of the public service formed the Public Service Women’s Club, in Wellington, with a wide range of recreational and cultural activities, including summer and winter sports, handcrafts, drama and folk dancing. ' Similar movements will be sponsored by the centres and sub-centres of the Public Service Sports Society throughout the Dominion. Eventually all the women’s clubs will have a national federation, affiliated to the Sports Society. Already a thousand women have enrolled in the Wellington club and it is anticipated that the membership will increase quickly.
