Their Excellencies, the GovernorGeneral and Lady Newall will be the guests of Sir Lindo and Lady Ferguson, when they visit Dunedin next month. Miss J. Smith, of Alfredton, is the guest of Mrs P. H. Donovan, Pongaroa. Mrs S. Powell, of Wellington, is staying with her mother, Mrs R. Meech, Pongaroa. Mr and Mrs R. T. J. Scott have left Pongaroa to take up their residence in Dannevirke. Mrs V. Perane, of Picton, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs A. E. Barker, Pongaroa. Mrs A. G. Mitchell, Levin, who has been visiting Mrs V. E. Donald, Masterton, has returned home. Mrs Archer Hosking, of Masterton, who has been visiting Mrs K. C. Peacock, Crescent Road, Epsom, left Auckland on Saturday for Masterton. The death occurred in Wellington on Sunday of Mrs Ellen Marie Norrie, wife of Mr Joseph Norrie, chief librarian of the Wellington municipal libraries.
