IMPOSITION OF SUBSTANTIAL. FINES. >5 (By Telegraph— Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. John Spiers Robertson, shipping agent, was charged with wilfully making false returns of income (four charges), as were his associated companies, Wild and Robertson, Limited, and the Ikamatua Sawmills, Limited. On three charges, all pleaded guilty and were fined by Mr G. G. Chisholm, S.M., a total of £4OO, to be apportioned among the defendants. Wild and Robertson, Limited, were - also fined £3O for failing to deduct Social Security charges from the salary paid to Robertson.
