Mrs L. Tattle, ot Pahiatua, is visiting Wellington. Mrs V. McKay, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs J. G. S. Thompson, Lansdowne. Mrs A. Campbell Pearce, of Featherston, was a weekend visitor to Palmerston North. Miss Gossett, Dannevirke, is spending a few days with the Misses Brown, Church Street, Masterton. Mrs T. G. Marlow, of Epsom,, who came to New Zealand in 1865, will celebrate her 104th birthday on Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Henry Barnes, McKinley Crescent, Brooklyn are celebrating their golden wedding today. They were married at the old St Mary s Church, Makara, on November 17, 1891. Mr Barnes was born at Makara and Mrs Barnes came out from Ireland as a child with her parents. They retired to live in Wellington seven years ago. The death occurred yesterday of Mrs Annie Matilda Plimmer, of Boulcott Street, Wellington, widow of the late Mi- Charles Plimmer. Mrs Plimmer, who had been in poor health for the past year, was born in Wellington, New South Wales, came to New Zealand as a girl, and had lived in the capital ever since. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Ella Gladys Plimmer and Mrs Mary Kathleen McKinnon, of Toronto, Canada. Her only son, Mr Harold Plimmer, was killed while serving with the New Zealand Forces in Gallipoli in the Great War.
