LANDING ON MURMANSK COAST. BRITISH TANKS IN ACTION. LONDON, November 15. A German force which attempted to land at a weakly-held point on the Murmansk coast has been driven off, Moscow reports. The defenders made a forced march of seven miles across swamps -and through forests after receiving a warning that a landing attempt was being made from the Rybachi Peninsula. It is reported from Stockholm that British tanks are 'being operated by the Soviet forces on the central Finnish front.
