A woman living near an American Army camp wrote to the commanding officer asking two soldiers to dinner. But, she specified, on no account must the men be Jews. Tre men arrived. They weren’t Jews. They were negroes. “There must be some mistake,” exclaimed the woman. “No, ma’am,” was the reply. “Colonel Cohen doesn’t make mistakes.”
