A Kuibyshev message says the Germans have ordered the capture of Tula at any price. The losses of seme enemy regiments in the Orel and Tula areas have reached 40 per cent. The “Pravda’s” war correspondent says fighting is -now proceeding outside Tula. The Germans (have been dislodged from a village adjoining the southern extremity of the city. The enemy has retreated ito new lines and is now bringing up fresh reserves. Influenza is prevalent among the German troops and some cases of Parathphoid have appeared. A German communique states: “The German troops in the Crimea are attacking the fortifications of Kerch and have taken several coastal fortifications directly southwards of the town. Local operations on the rest of the Eastern front have brought further successes. Heavy army batteries shelled important war objectives in Leningrad and port installations and dockyards at Kronstadt. The Luftwaffe effectively* raided Leningrad and Moscow.”
