FIGHTING PLANES
BELIEVED TO BE WORLD’S BEST POWERFUL NEW MACHINE, i ARMED WITH FIFTEEN GUNS. LONDON, November 12. It was revealed in New York today that what is claimed to be the hardest-hitting pursuit plane in the world is being produced by the Curtis-Wright Company for the United States and Britain. The plane is armed with fifteen guns and. has a speed of nearly 400 miles an hour. It is fitted with a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine of British design and American manufacture.
