HUDSON BOMBER
PILOTED OVER ATLANTIC BY WOMAN. MISS JACQUELINE COCHRAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON. June 20. . The American airwoman. Miss Jacqueline Cochran, is at present in London after flying a Hudson bomber from North America. She is the first woman to do so. She said the trip was without incident. Her only companion was Captain G. Carlisle, who was in charge of the aircraft He did the navigating. She, as first officer, was at the controls the whole way.
