THE RAROTONGAN TITLE. AN APPEAL DISMISSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. June 18. The appeals of Putua Rangatira, also known as W. P. Browne, and his wife, Tuvaine Rangatira, of Rarotonga, against the award of the title of makea nui ariki, or paramount chief, to Mrs Takau Rio Love, have been dismissed by Mr Justice Ostler. The apppals were against a decision made in Mrs Love’s favour in February, 1940, by Judge Ayson, of rhe High Court of the Cook Islands.
