4 URGENT PROBLEMS RAISED BY WAR FARMERS' UNION DISCUSSION. SHIPPING & PHOSPHATE SUPPLIES. Measures which should be taken immediately to meet recent developments in the war situation were discussed this morning, at a meeting of the Wairarapa Provincial Executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union. The following recommendations arc to be .made to the Government:- — (is That all steps possible be token to ensure a quick, turn round of shipping. <2l That more stringent control should be imposed on enemy aliens in New Zealand. <3) That cool storage in New Zealand be increased.
