———« ADVISED TO CALL DISPUTE OFF FREEZING WORKERS' UNION DECISION. WORK NOW PROCEEDING SATISFACTORILY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.’ AUCKLAND. This Day. A decision to recommend, to the men involved in the cool stores dispute, that they should declare the dispute off. was made on Saturday at a meeting of the District Executive of the New Zealand Freezing Workers’ and Related Trades Union. The men met subsequently at the Trades Hall and debated the recommendation. The voting in favour of adopting the recommendation was practically unanimous. It was distinctly stated at the meeting that a large number of the men would be re-employed. A considerable number of the men affected applied this morning for reinstatement. but wore told by the management that their positions had; been filled and the company could not J re-engage them. The manager of the company, Mr! Brown, told a reporter that the work j was proceeding satisfactorily.
