REGENT THEATRE
THE ROARING TWENTIES
The outstanding pulse-pounding story. "The Roaring Twenties,” based on actual facts, and brilliantly acted, will be finally presented tonight.
"WE ARE NOT ALONE.”
Paul Muni makes another great contribution to the screen as Dr. David Newcorne. the central character in Warner Bros.’ “We Are Not Alone." which will be shown tomorrow at the Regent Theatre. It is his first modern role for several years, and he brings to it all the qualities of that genius which lias given him a pre-eminent position in the motion-picture world. Written with a deep insight into the weaknesses and strength of human nature by James Hilton, who also wrote Lust Horizon" and "Good-bye. Mr Chips, the story gives Muni a superb opportunity for a masterly characterisation marked throughout by restraint and sincerity. He is a doctor in a
country town, where longues are only i wo prone to wag at the slightest hint i that convention is in danger, and it jJ his implicit faith in the fundamental
