SHEEP FOR AUSTRALIA
WAIRARAPA ROMNEYS. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report that despite the drought in Australia which, fortunately, has now broken, enquiries have continued to come to hand for high-class Romney sheep, and they have just sold on account of Messrs Voss Bros., Karere, for export to New South Wales 50 highclass Romney ewe hoggets. To the same client they have also sold 50 ewe hoggets of similar quality on account of Mr J. E. Hewitt, of Mangamaire. Two high-class rams to mate with these ewes have also been secured from Messrs J. G. Donald and I. G. Donald, “Ardgowan,” Featherston, and from Mr J. G. Alexander, “Cranleigh,” Maxwell. All these sheep will be selected and shipped about the end of the year.
