MAN ELECTROCUTED

FATALITY AT TUA I. A DOCTOR'S SUGGESTION. ißy Telegraph—Press Association.) WATROA. August 6. A fatality occurred on the hydroelectric development scheme at Tuai last evening. Keith Crawford, single, aged 25, Johnsonville, engaged on electrical repaii’ work in the tunnel, evidently camo into contact with a live wire.' When carried from the tunnel he was in a critical condition, and died short.!;/ afterwards. Giving evidence al an inquest which was opened in Wairoa today. Dr Bruce Walton Grieve suggested that a cylinder of oxygen be stationed at the camp for use in urgent cases o! this nature. He thought that if that were available immediately in an accident suelt as this occasionally lives might be saved.

"Winter. witness said he did not think in this particular case that it would have made any differenee if he had arrived sooner, but ho felt that, in a milder ease of this sort the administration of oxygen immediately might tide the patient ov.-.’i a difficult. period. Evidence of identification was given by George Rupert Raymond Brown, cousin of the dead. man. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
