BOXING IN BLENHEIM
WILLIS BEATS CAULTAUX. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, This Day. Merv. Willis, a former Queensland lightweight champion, defeated Vic. Caultaux, the New Zealand welterweight champion, on points in a nonchampionship boxing contest of twelve rounds. Willis (10.9) was a pound the heavier man. The bout was fast and exciting, Willis winning through superior science especially in defence. Willis scored a knock-down in the fifth round and was himself down in the tenth.
