FEATHERSTON
PUBLIC LIBRARY INCREASE IN SUBSCRIBERS. (“Times-Age' 1 Special.) Miss Carnell, of England, an officer associated with the Library Association and Country Library service, visited Featherston yesterday. Miss Parnell, who is making a tour of New Zealand, has completed the South Island and is now beginning her trip through the North Island. She will visit all the libraries and make contact with the library committees. Since joining the Country Library Service the subscribers to the Featherston Lending Library have increased threefold. Personal Items. Mr N. C. C. Shepherd and Mr C. W. Ritchie are visiting Christchurch, and are attending the Masonic Communication. Mr W. Marshall, a member of the Third Echelon, is confined to his home in Featherston with a foot injury.
