CENTRAL SCHOOL
PARENTS' ASSOCIATION.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the committee of the Central School Parents' _ Association was held in the Central School last evening. Mr G. Beecroft occupied the chair, and all members of the committee were present. The treasurer (Mr E. C. Coddington) reported that the Association funds now slood at £llO with one late nigh; dance yet to be held. Mr Coddington was requested to collect information in regard to price, supply and service of a suitable visual talking machine, and to report at the next meeting o' the committee if possible. It was understood that several suitable machines are already installed at various schools throughout the Dominion. A grant of £5 was made towards the purchase of school cricket gear, and further crockery for use at dances was ordered.
The secretary (Mr P. H. Shaw) was instructed to arrange for a dance orchestra etc. for the late night dance on October 4. Arrangements for this dance were completed.
