FEATHERSTON
QUIET WEDDING FRANCES—BROWNE. (“Times-Age” Special.) A quiet wedding was celebrated in St. John’s Church, Featherston, by the Rev. J. T. Holland on Saturday when Charles Alexander, second son of Mr L. Frances and the late’Mrs N. Frances, of Masterton, was married to Joan Molineax, second daughter of Mr and Mrs G. M. Browne, Revans Street, Featherston. Wrestling Tournament. An attractive programme has been arranged for the wrestling tournament on Thursday night when the holders of the Wairarapa. championships will take part. The proceeds are to go towards the funds of the Red Cross Society.
Old Settlers’ Re-Union.
A happy party from the Wairarapa were amongst the guests at the commemorative dinner held in Messrs James Smith and Co’s, tea rooms and also on Dominion Day at Clyde Quay, for the early settlers. One member of the party was fortunate in having a menu card autographed by Lord and Lady Galway.
