(Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The “Herald’s” Canberra correspondent says dissatisfied with the rate of progress of defence works, the Prime Minister, Mr R. G. Menzies, has taken steps to inaugurate a “speed-up" campaign. He held conferences yesterday with responsible Ministers and last night met important works experts and, as a result, sweeping changes in the carrying out of defence works are expected.
