KATHERINE MANSFIELD
TABLET UNVEILED IN FRANCE
On Saturday. June 10. a number of leading writers of France gathered at Fontainebleau to honour the memory of Katherine Mansfield. A tablet was unveiled on the Prieure des Basses, where she died.
A visit was paid in the morning to the cemetery of Avon, adjoining Fontainebleau. and flowers wore laid on her grave. In the afternoon, the delegation entered the forest and in a glade, near the Tour Denecourt. where ferns recalled the Scotland of her ancestors, a path and a rock were given her name. Katherine Mansfield's works have been translated into French and are much admired in France.
According to a psychologist, a man's sins trouble him most in the small hours of the morning. Especially if he finds the wife still awake.
