ORDER OF DRUIDS MEETING OF TOTARA LODGE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The fortnightly meeting of the Totara Lodge of Druids was held last evening, A.D. Bro. H. Torrey presiding over a good attendance of members. Three members were declared on the lodge benefit funds and one member declared off the fund. Sick pay amounting to £2l Gs 8d was passed for payment and one maternity benefit was ordered to be paid. HOCKEY MATCH SOUTH VERSUS NORTH. The undermentioned team will represent South Wairarapa in a match with North Wairarapa on Carrington Park on Saturday next:—A. Ward. A. Ordish, A. Harp, B. Roberts, I. Mackie, D. Irwin, G. Townsend, R. Ordish, C. Knutson (captain), L. Bicknell, V. Sayer. Emergency: L. Gallon. VITAL STATISTICS FIGURES FOR JULY. The following are the vital statistics for July, the figures for the corresponding month last year being given in parentheses: —Births 5 (2); marriages, 1 (3); deaths, 5 (4). Footballers to Train. The following players are to train on Memorial Park, Masterton, on Wednesday night at 7.15 o’clock sharp, in view of the representative game with Nelson on Saturday at Masterton:— Backs: F. Fitzgerald, J. Eastwood, G. Brown, W. Peterson, R. Brunton, R. O’Callaghan, O. Hatton, E. Thompson, E. Denbee; forwards, W. Stringfellow, K. Joblin, H. Mathieson, M. Trass, R. Mitchell, M. Ross, I. Percy, L. Mason, R. Howard, J. Walker. The Wairarapa team will play in yellow and black jerseys on Saturday. Personal. Subject to the approval of the Conference, to be held next February in Dunedin, the Rev. H. White will remove to Tauranga, the climate there being expected to mean an advantage to the health of Mrs White. Bowling. In reference to the invitation to the New Zealand bowlers to visit the United Kingdom in 1940 cable advice has been received that the invitation must either be accepted or declined by August 12. Nominations fo-r the team will close on August 10.
