Vancouver —Herring reduction plants on Canada's Pacific coast had a production of approximately 10,000 tons of herring meal and 1,062,500 gallons of oil last season. Approximately 560 tons of meal were shipped to the United Kingdom and 8000 tons to the United States. Of the herring oil, 247,500 gallons were used in Canada and the remainder was shipped to Germany.
