FEATHERSTON
GOLF MATCH ■ LOCAL TEAM SELECTED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following players will represent Featherston in the home-and-away match with Greytown on Saturday:— At Greytown: H. Wehipeihana, J. Wilson, G. O’Neale, W. Fountain, W. Jeffrey, H. Bloxam, T. Lang, G. Hoby. At Featherston: J. McCallum, H. McCarty, J. W. Card, D. Howells, J. Davis. D. Carlyon, L. Benton. H. Lawson. BEACON LIGHT SUGGESTED FOR RIMUTAKA HILL. Travellers by daylight will notice a high steel tower on the top of the Rimutaka Hill beyond Featherston. Ii has been suggested that if a powei light could be erected on the tower ii would be a splendid guide for nighi flyers. Although night flying in New Zealand is not yet ps far advanced as in other countries it will doubtless eventually become general and the light would become the same to the airman as a lighthouse is to the mariner. Personal. Mrs Cutler, of Auckland, is spending a holiday with her sister, Mrs R. F. Watson. .
