SLUMP IN WHEAT
PRICES AT LOWEST LEVEL FOR CENTURIES AMERICAN MARKET DECLINE. COUPLED WITH GOOD WEATHER PROSPECTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 13. Wheat cargoes are easier. Parcels for delivery at Liverpool in July touched 3s 7Jd, the lowest price since 1592. The cause of the slump, to which it is necessary to go back centuries to find a parallel, was a decline of American markets, coupled with favourable weather reports. In Liverpool wheat rallied and closed at 3s SJd.
