In the cricket match against West Indies, Northumberland in the first innings made 122 (Clarke 6 for 51). West Indies (Ist innings 330) declared in the second innings at 6 for 115. Northumberland in the second lost 9 wickets for 251 (Ramsden 66, Vaukhard not out, 75). The match was drawn.
