EXHIBITION AIODELS
COMPLAINT BY THE MAYOR OF MASTERTON. DECISION OF COMMITTEE. A strong protest has been made by the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, against the decision of the Dominion Court Central Committee to prepare a transparency of Masterton for the small town models section at the Exhibition, rather than an actual model. Mr Jordan said that the committee had decided to prepare models for such towns as Whangarei and Greymouth while Masterton, which, with its district, had made its full contribution 1 to the Centennial Exhibition, had been given a transparency only. Mr Jordan stated that Masterton deserved better treatment on a population basis, and he had objected to the decision of the committee.
Hp understood that the matter was to be further considered at a meeting of the Provincial Court Executive hold in Wellington today. Ho would have attended the meeting had he not promised to open the Diggers’ Market this afternoon.
