DRAMA FESTIVAL
JUNIOR PLAYS ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON. ATTRACTION AT OPERA HOUSE. It was a new idea this year for the Drama League to have the junior plays performed on a Saturday afternoon and it should prove a very popular idea with the public. At the very cheap prices of admission, Is 6d and Is, with 6d for primary school children, the Opera House should be filled easily. Seats can still be booked free at Mr Vivian Joseph’s. Plays will be presented by the Playbox Players, under Miss B. Coleman’s direction, the Pandora Club, with Miss M. Dickson as producer and the Central School players with Mr J. A. Kennedy producing. Several of these plays are costumed most attractively, and all should prove very popular with the audience. Mrs Victor Lloyd, of Wellington, who is judging this section, has had a great deal of experience with children’s plays. The festival will be continued on Monday and Tuesday evenings when eight senior plays will be presented.
