Ottawa. —Chuckar partridges introduced in the Canadian Prairies from the Himalayas of India are multiplying so rapidly that it is expected that short open seasons for shooting them will be possible in a few years. The chuckar partridges were first introduced in 1937 when local sportsmen purchased fifty pair. This year, an additional 185 pair wore imported and 1 i borated.
