Mrs W. E. Davies, who has been on a visit to Te Rehunga. has returned to Pongaroa.

Miss Mavis Kerr, of Dunedin, is on a visit to Masterton and is the guest of Mrs Phil Hawksworth, Colombo Road.

Mrs A. Jamieson, president of the Martinborough branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, is a Wairarapa delegate to the women's division conference now being held in Wellington. Mrs Noel Adams, Clevedon. Auckland, was elected Dominion president of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, yesterday, in succession to Mrs J. C. Wickham, Wanganui. Mrs Wickham, who also was a candidate, was defeated by three votes. Mrs Adams has been one of the division’s North Island vice-presi-dents. Mrs Wickham will be president emeritus for the coming year. The following Dominion vice-presidents were elected: —North Island: Mesdames C. K. Wilson, T. R. Barrel- (Masterton), and W. Lane. South Island: Mesdames W. B. Orr, W. H. Elliott and N. Macintosh.
