Saskatoon. —Attempts are being made in the laboratories of the University of Saskatchewan to develop a variety of hull-less barley suitable for production in the northern area of Canada. Hull-loss barley would have a high value as a feed and would be of great benefit as a feed crop in the more isolated districts of the country.
