WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Women’s Institute was held yesterday. Through the unavoidable absence oi the president, Mrs Forsberg, Mrs I. D. Cameron took the chair. Mr D. Catt, of Masterton, gave a very interesting talk on the care of the hair ror which he was warmly thanked. Miss M. Nickolaison gave a demonstration on poker work which was very much appreciated. Mrs Wilson won the first prize for the best bloom, Mrs Scherf the first for plain scones and Mrs F. Paine the monthly competition. Mrs Cameron gave an interesting talk on home and overseas travel. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Gregory and Roigard. Croquet Club. Mrs J. McKeown, president of the Mauriceville Croquet Club, has received the cup won by their club in the County Club matches between Pahiatua, Ekeranuna and Mauriceville.
