Ottawa.—The Newfoundland Government recently purchased 147 young rams from Canada for breeding purposes. These included Oxfords, ShropShires and Cheviots. Newfoundland has been a consistent purchaser of Canadian blooded stock and last year took 300 purebred sheep for the purpose of improving the existing flocks.
