FALL OF HAIL
UNSEASONABLE WEATHER. Further evidence of the unseasonable weather conditions prevailing during the past few weeks was provided in Masterton late yesterday afternoon, when, during a brisk shower, there was a perceptible fall of hail, the stones being about the size of tapioca. Holi-day-makers and others, who have been more or less optimistic in the belief that such unsettled weather cannot last, much longer are now beginning to show .some anxiety regarding the likelihood of more congenial conditions during the Christmas holidays.
