SHOPPING FEET
ARE YOU A SUFFERER. Do you suffer from tired feet? If you are a chronic sufferer from this complaint, and dread the day’s shopping in town that may lie ahead of you, try the following remedy. Massage the feet well with eau de cologne and keep rubbing it into the skin until all traces of dampness have disappeared, then dust thickly with talc powder, don your shoes and stockings, and your feet will carry you for the rest of the day without effort. Another excellent method for curing tired and aching feet is {o bathe them every morning for five minutes in warm water to which has been added a little epsom salts. Then rinse them well, dry, and massage and dust as above. From tired feet is but a short step to puffy ankles. These are quite easily relieved by plunging the feet and legs into hot water every morning, and then sprinkling some boracic on to the palms of the hands and massaging your ankles from the feet upwards. Use a firm movement, and massage with the palm, not the fingers. Massage from the ankle toward the knee, then walk about the bedroom, on tip-toe, for a few minutes, and finish off the treatment by placing a few drops of eau de cologne in the palms of the hands and massaging with a gentle circular movement. Keep massaging until all the cologne has been absorbed by the skin.
