MAURICEVILLE WEST
CHRISTMAS TREAT. ("Times-Age” Special.) The annual Christmas treat was held in the Mauriceville West Hall on Tuesday night. The hall was packed to capacity and the function-was an unprecedented success. Even the weather made it resemble an old-time Christmas. The children pleased the audience with their concert items, the best of which was a Christmas play produced by Mrs A. Forsberg. All present joined enthusiastically in _ a programme of games. The crowning events for the children was the arrival of Father Christmas preceded by two pipers, Messrs Donald Cameron and Linton Forsberg, and there were plenty of gifts for every child present. Supper brought an outstanding gathering to a close. During the evening Mr J. Milner thanked all who by their presence had made the proceedings so enjoyable and congratulated Mr and Mrs A. Forsberg, the chief promoters of the ]ong-looked-fpr event. Miss Sheila McKeown, on behalf 'of the children of Mauriceville West, presented gifts in expression of their united appreciation of the work Mr and Mrs Forsberg had done.
